The botanical gardens in Meran attract countless tourists and visitors each year. Castle Trauttmansdorff is the centrepiece of the garden, and was the residence of Empress Elisabeth of Austria during her health sojourns to the area. Covering around 12 hectares, it comprises over 80 brightly-hued garden landscapes with an endless variety of plants which never fails to amaze visitors. Fascinating exhibitions are held in the nearby museum, Touriseum, and the castle also organises countless highlights, events and offers to make your trip even more fun!
